Sustainability Engagement Roadshows

Moved a UK customer centric business unit from zero sustainability knowledge to achieveing sustainable business practice.

Objective: Raise the profile of what sustainability really means to 7000 employees so that the business can reimagine itself.

Description: Using a mixture of roadshows, workshops, and redecorating meeting rooms to demonstrate sustainable practice, showcased key business-relevant sustainability topics (Waste, Energy, CO2, Transport etc) to bring about mind-set change, business efficiencies, behaviour change and empowerment.

Successfully connected managers, experts, and departments together; building relationships leading to many new sustainability initiatives being created.

Achieved: More than 25 roadshows, 100 workshops, sustainably retrofitting 11 key meeting rooms, including 2 boardrooms, and engaging with thousands of staff across the business.

Various outcomes achieved, ranging from quick and easy departmental changes of behaviour, through to seeding longer term project ideas and process changes and efficiencies. Demonstrated different ways to do current practices but with a reduced environmental and financial impact.

Mainstreamed sustainability so that the question became not, ‘What is sustainability’, but ‘What should I or can I do?’
